Can you enter parks during extended hours or must you be in the park

Can you enter parks during extended hours or must you be in the park prior to closing?.

#2

No, you don’t have to, you just show your resort id when you go into the park!

You can enter any time you want, and leave at any time. Just show your resort ID.

I have always wondered - what if you aren’t staying at a resort and you are in the park when normal hours end? Can you stick around, but just no longer get on the rides?

Yes you can stay in the parks. Resort guests are given a wrist band upon showing their resort id. That is the only way you can get on the attractions during EMH.

Thanks to all !

Just FYI as of our visit in Jan 09 you no longer get a wrist band, you just have to show your resort ID at every ride. It gets a bit crazy having to show it all the time, but I guess it is saving some $$$ since they don’t have to give out those wrist bands every day. We just got our DDs lanyards to hold their IDs and DH and I just kept ours handy.

Of course you can enter the parks after the EMH has commenced.
You just have to have your Disney hotel key to prove you are a current guest.
I’ve done this plenty of times over the years.
