Denver Airport

Anyone fly through here regularly? I am looking at a flight on Frontier from Indianapolis to Disneyland (SNA). The layover is only 29 minutes. That scares me and I don’t see how that can even be possible to do. It is the best price, though so I am conflicted.

29 MIN! that isn’t enough time to go and sample some of the wonderful airport food or use the restrooms!!

Is it a layover where you stay on the same plane? or, have to go to another terminal. I can’t imagine they would offer it if its the impossible to get to another terminal within 29 minutes.

We booked a flight about 3 weeks ago on Frontier, we’re going to be flying Detroit to LAX in Jan. First off the Frontier people seem very nice and I’ve had to call them often they’re fast to answer the phone and all seem very friendly. I’ve talked to them often because they have moved around our flights 3 times since we booked. It’s a little annoying but in some ways has worked to our advantage because the layover time has gotten a little longer for us… we have 2 small children and have to move carry-ons and car seats. So it’s gone from 30 minutes up to 1.5 hour.

Are you traveling with children? I mentioned to them that we will need help getting to the next gate so the put a note on our reservation and when we get off the plane we just let them know we’re there and they will have someone escort us to the next one.

Hoping it all works out but I’m making plans for if it doesn’t. LOL… until then our flight times will probably change a few more times.

I flew into Denver on Frontier in 2005 taking the heir apparent from San Diego to Billings, Montana. We had a longer layover, however.

Denver has a huge airport, the key for your success is that your connecting flight is at the same terminal. Any requirement to relocate runs the risk of not making a connecting flight due to delays. Thirty minutes is the bare minimum. 29 sounds doable, but just how much of a savings would you be getting?

I guess the question you should ask yourself is, do you feel lucky? If you were traveling by yourself with no luggage, go for it. But if there are children, and you’re stuck in the back of the bus, you will most likely land on the tarmac in Denver on time, but probably not be able to reach your new gate before they close the doors. Or worse, you might make the flight, but your luggage won’t. =( :pirate:

I don’t know about jk8 but for us it was about a $500.00 savings because we booked the classic fare which was a couple hundred cheaper then delta and it covers our bags.

Hello
I live in Denver and fly out of DIA all the time. You should have no problems unless you change airlines. If you stay on Frontier then you will not have to change terminals. Frontier uses terminal A.

You can check out flydenver.com and there will be a map of the airport.

OK, these flights are on Frontier and it looks like we change planes. Flight F9-0609 and F9 0266 with a 28 minute layover.

DS is 12 so no carseats to move. I wonder now if they will change our flight times. Hmmm.

It is a $270 savings to fly on a thursday vs the friday. It looks like the layover on Friday is only 40 mintues. Perhaps I will give the Frontier people a call. They must think it is do able of this schedule it?

I’ve only flown into Denver once. It was a rather large airport but I think the most time-consuming part of the arrival was getting to the actual terminal from the runway. I would suggest trying to give yourself some extra time (especially with a younger passenger).

We fly Frontier exclusively and sometimes they just change the flight number, but they don’t change the planes. Are you for sure changing planes? Even so, like Disneymom said, Frontier is in Terminal A, so you can pretty much get to any gate in 28 minutes.
