wow, Tiggerfan, that was nice of you!! I love looking at menus!

'Bella Thanks for asking! Tigger thanks for the more than detailed menu. Now I am an informed traveller for our POR trip.

I wish they had Muffelettas though.

That’s a huge menu! Are there several lines for the different types of food? If I want a burger and my DH wants pasta will we have to get in different lines?

Yeah, I better stop reading it, cause now I am getting hungry !!

Yes, you will, but then you pay at the same spot. The registers are centrally located.

Thanks, tiggerfan! We may have to give the food court a chance this summer. Normally we try to eat in the parks but a food court may come in handy before or after our afternoon break.

Oh, I am SOOO there!! takes notes

Thank you for asking Bella! And thanks for the menu Michelle!

We typically would hit the food court on the way out in the AM and maybe pick up a snack on our rreturn to the room that evening. They are good better than most counters in the parks.

I LOVED the riverside mill. It’s my favorite food court on property.

Bella the Food court at POR is lovely. As a few others have said already, I am certain that all food is the same as you can get anywhere else throughout WDW nad its resorts but the atmos here is lovely. We love sitting by the wheel and watchin’ the world go by through the windows. It is always well serviced and they always keep it neat an tidy. It is a great place to have a chill after a long day out or even just a great start to the day.
It is great.

I’ve found that they tend to burn the personal pizzas and breadsticks at POR. I don’t know why. The large size pizzas are fine. Unexplainable phenomena, I guess.

I love it. They have the best biscuits and gravy at breakfast. Yumm!!

DH and I liked the food court there. I remember them having this cornbread and it was REALLY good!!!

I agree with all the others…DH and I actually were so dissapointed in the full service restaurant at POR (after our dinner experience) we cancelled our next 2 ressies there and just ate at Riverside. It was well worth it! And the bakery items there are addicting! I would pay big bucks for one of their brownies right now (I know they are the same all over the world, but it was so convenient to leave my room and take a short walk to grab one at 11 PM)!

Here is the scoop:

First counter on the left is the BAKERY. which makes the most incredible cinnamon rolls each and every morning… you can smell them for miles!

Next couple of counters prepare hot foods. The taco salad and macaroni and cheese are delicious. And the ceasar salad is tossed to order and it is FANTASTIC!

The next counter is designed for filling up backpacks or keeping in the room… bananas and apples, packaged cookies, wrapped sandwiches and wraps, bottles of juice and soda.

The counters to the right serve hot food – one is for breakfast sandwiches and burgers, the other is for breakfast platters and hot entree specials, including barbecue.

There used to eb a self-serve ice cream machine, I hope they bring it back.

Drinks and condiments are out by the tables.

The sit-down restaurant is just next door. And you can order some stuff out by the pool at the bar… FUN! There also is a lobby bar with appetizers, and Piano Bar Bob, a guy who is so much fun at night! Make that a must-do!

Thank you for that virtual tour! My stomach is now killing me for not eating breakfast. Because apparently Welch’s Fruit Snacks don’t count as breakfast.

I’m starting to think that everything Port Orleans is heavenly…

Victoria you are so right! You can see by my signature that it is our favorite! We have enjoyed every single minute there… from having cocktails in the lobby bar, or the pool bar… to having a feast in the food court!.. to sliding down the slide into the deep end, to playing on the playscape with the kids, to trying to catch a fish, to inspecting lizards on the ivy, to taking boats to Marketplace… we just really love it!

Thanks Miss Dis! The part where you said “filling up backpacks” made me really excitied about going to disney world!!!
Although, I feel I must add that I have never filled up a backpack in the food court…oh well…it’s the strangest things that get you excitied about wdw!
