No lights?

#1

Walking to World Showcase toward the Epcot tree and noticed that the archway of lights are not there. Why and did they put them somewhere else

Hey Frank,
Disney annouced this year they discontinued the lights this year. Sorry, dude.

#3

I was literally walking under where they had been and pointed up to them… One can only imagine my dismay. My wife noticed first but didn’t gave the heart to tell me

Yes they have discontinued that light show (I can’t remember the name sorry). The excuse was that it had become out of date…really fabulous light shows go out of date that fast.

We missed it as well as my parents on our respective trips over the past week.

#5

The excuse is that they were obsolete.
The unofficial story is that one of the arches was damaged by a fork lift and couldn’t be repaired.

And that area does look naked without them.

#6

I wonder if I can buy one … I’d be the coolest kid on the block.

#7

You’d probably be behind the Davids in that line if they did.
You might even be behind me. One arch would look wild straddling my driveway.

#8

It would be way cool. I’d probably leave it up all year. Synchronized to polka music.

Light shows like that never become out of date.
Sad indeed.

#14

#15

Gald we saw them Dec 2008…they were beautiful…my kids particularly liked the white ball thingy’s;are they gone too?

#16

I definitely think Boss should get them… that way he’ll never be naked…

#17

Will there be beer served??

#18
